Silken Dream

This lovely shawl features a beautiful Japanese lace motif which creates a subtle play of light across the fabric. When knit in our pure silk laceweight yarn, it’s a truly exquisite dream.

The shawl begins with four cast on stitches at the top middle and then increases at sides and centre to create the triangular shape. The fan-like edging continues from the diamond lace motifs, and is finished with a crochet chain cast off. Lace shaping is on one side only, but there are both knit and purl stitches on the other side. NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted. Recommended for Advanced Intermediate lace knitters.
