Wavy Lace Scarves |
||
|
The Wavy Lace Scarves explore what happens to the edges of knitting when yarnovers and decreases are offset. The Wavy Leaf Scarf (below) expands and contracts, emphasized by a leaf motif which “grows” up the middle. The Wavy Bee Scarf (above) employs a more subtle wave which moves from side-to-side in a sinuous fashion, with “bees” buzzing up the middle. Either one is fun to knit as you watch the stitches take on a life of their own! Both scarves are worked by starting at one end and repeating the chart until desired length is achieved or yarn is used up. The scarves are suitable for Intermediate knitters, but the Wavy Bee Scarf is a bit more challenging due to the interesting Bee lace motif. Detailed explanation of how to work the motif is included.
